Terms of use

Plain-language terms for using doctorfinder.uk. By using the site you accept them.

What this site is

doctorfinder.uk is an independent information directory for England. It collects data that public bodies already publish, from the Care Quality Commission and NHS England, and arranges it so you can compare hospitals and clinics. It is not connected to the NHS, the CQC, or any organisation listed.

No warranty on accuracy

Every figure is copied from an official source and shown with the date it was retrieved. We take care to copy it correctly, but we do not guarantee it is accurate, current, or complete. Data can be wrong at source, and sources update on their own schedules. Check the original source, which we link to, before relying on anything here.

Not medical or professional advice

Nothing on this site is medical advice, a recommendation, or a referral. It does not tell you which provider to choose or what care you need. For advice about your health, speak to your GP or another qualified clinician.

Links to other sites

We link out to providers' own websites, the CQC, NHS England, and web searches. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content.

Using the content

You may read, link to, and share individual pages. You may not scrape the site, download it in bulk, or copy the compiled directory or any substantial part of it to republish elsewhere. The underlying figures are public and you are free to get them from their original sources. The way they are collected, checked, and arranged here is our work.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, the operator of this site is not liable for any loss or harm arising from use of the site or reliance on its content. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Corrections

If something is wrong, tell us. We will look into it and, where we can, show the correction and raise it with the source.

Changes

These terms may change. The version on this page is the one that applies.

Governing law

These terms and any dispute about them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
